Arthur “Art” Richard Fisher, son of the late Howard and Florence (Bergman) Fisher, was born on November 15, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois, and departed this life on December 2, 2009 following a short illness, at 73 years of age.
Art grew up and attended school in Chicago, Illinois. At the age of seventeen, he entered the United States Army on January 17, 1955 in Los Angeles, California, and was honorably discharged from the Army Reserves as an SP4 on June 30, 1963. He made his home in California and was employed by the United States Postal Service until 1969. He then moved to Missouri where he met and married Ona Scaggs on February 6, 1970 in St. Louis, Missouri. Over the years, he was employed as an office manager for several companies until his retirement at age 72.
Art enjoyed playing cards and had many other hobbies, his favorite being fishing on his boat.
He found the Lord later in life and professed his Faith until his final day, and on that day he entered in to meet his Savior.
At the time of his passing, he was attending the Assembly of God Church in Cabool, Missouri as long as his health permitted.
He is survived by his wife: Ona Fisher of their home; three daughters: Rhonda Ice and her husband, John, of Mtn. Grove, Sherry Rucker of Santa Anna, California, and Libby Hutsell of Mtn. Grove; five grandchildren: Amber Kelly and her husband, Jason, Michael Hutsell and Kristen, Jeffrey Ice and his wife, Debbie, and Destiny Hutsell, all of Mtn. Grove, and Phillip Brown of California; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and many other relatives and friends will miss him dearly.

Saturday, December 5, 10:00 AM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Visitation:
Friday, December 4, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
