Anthony Lewis Sadler, son of Ralph Willard Sadler, the late Sarah Frances (Burris) Sadler, and Jim Sutherland, was born February 9, 1960, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, and passed away October 21, 2017, at his home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was 57 years, 8 months, and 12 days of age.
Tony was raised in Harford County, Maryland. He married Joanne Webster on November 5, 1994, in Essex, Maryland. He moved to Mountain Grove, Missouri, in 2011, making it home for himself, his wife, and their little dog, Mia.
Tony attended Southside Baptist and Mountain Grove Full Gospel churches before pastoring at Faith Chapel in Vanzant, Missouri. He had been their pastor for the past year. Tony ministered to people all across the country. In 2001, he traveled to Cape Town, South Africa, which had a big impact on his life.
Tony enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved playing the drums, an interest that started when he was a little boy. He played with several well-known artists, played in marching bands, and played in several rock bands. He also enjoyed fishing and cooking on his smoker. When he lived in Maryland, he loved to go lawn mower racing.
Tony was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, but first and foremost, he put God ahead of everything in his life.
Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah, in 2008.
He is survived by his loving wife of their home, Joanne, one son, Steven Austin of Bel Air, Maryland, two daughters, Kristen Marsh and her husband, Jeff, of Springfield, Missouri, and Jennifer Austin of Bel Air, Maryland, one brother, Jim Sutherland and his wife, Mary, of Virginia, two sisters, Nicole Sutherland and her husband, Scott, of the state of Maryland, and Patricia Nogal and her husband, Mark, of Delta, Pennsylvania, one brother-in-law, Donald Webster and his wife, Pat, two sisters-in-law, Patricia Haught and her husband, Michael, and Laurie Chavis and her husband, Bobby, all of the state of Maryland, five grandchildren, Karma Austin, Sage Austin, Troy Austin-Sales, Zion Austin-Sales, and Chai Austin, many nieces and nephews and other relatives, friends, and church family who will greatly miss him.
