Andrew Scott Calhoun, son of Ervin Calhoun and the late Ellen (Keeling) Calhoun, was born December 11, 1968, in Mansfield, Missouri, and passed away suddenly August 20, 2019, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri. He was 50 years, 8 months, and 9 days of age.
Scott grew up in the Mansfield area and went to Mansfield Schools. He married Karen Spangler and together they had three children, Brett, Amber and Mark. He later married Angeline Davis on November 2, 2001, at New Hope church in Wright County, Missouri, and he added two more children to his family, Codey and Corey. He and Angeline attend church at Liberty Faith church in Norwood.
Scott worked with dairy cows, milking for farmers for several years. He also worked in the lumber business for many years. At the time of his passing, he worked at Smith and Hughes Lumber Company. In his spare time, he loved to fish and hunt. He also liked growing vegetable gardens and often competed with his wife to see which one could grow the biggest produce.
Scott never met a stranger. He enjoyed visiting with others and had a big heart for the people he met. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandkids. He also had two special dogs he greatly enjoyed, Rocky and Lilly Pup.
Besides his mother, Ellen, Scott was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Calhoun and Codey Aldridge.
He is survived by his loving wife of their home in Mountain Grove, Angeline, his children, Brett Calhoun and Amber Calhoun of Marshfield, Missouri, and Corey Aldridge of Kansas City, Missouri, his father, Ervin Calhoun of Mansfield, Missouri, three brothers, Matt Calhoun of the state of Colorado, Jeff Calhoun of Mansfield, Missouri, and Cleo Calhoun of Hartville, Missouri, one sister, Lucy Piland of the state of Oklahoma, seven grandchildren, Tyler, Faith, Cassandra, Hailie, Andrew, Cash, and Peyton, and other relatives, friends, and coworkers who will greatly miss him.
