Allison Kay (Hensley) Stevens, daughter of William Bill Hensley and Neva California-Hoebucket, was born on June 9, 1962, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and departed this life on June 14, 2016, in Springfield, Missouri. She was 54 years and 5 days of age.
Kay was half Native American, from the Quileute tribe. She lived in Washington until she was 9 months old, and then Missouri became her home.
Kay had two children and four grandchildren. She later met her fianc, Daryl McConnell and has been with him for the last seven years.
Kay loved going to the river and spending time outdoors. Her last special trip was with Daryl to the zoo, where she was excited to see the monkeys. Kay was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan.
Kay was preceded in death by two brothers: Richard Lee Hensley and William Billy Hensley.
Survivors include her sons: Christopher CJ Hensley and his wife, Angel, and their two boys, Brayden and Dayden, of Mountain Grove, and Derrick Hensley and his two boys, Ethan and Logan, of Mountain Grove; her father Bill Hensley of Valley, Alabama; her mother: Neva California-Hoebucket of La Push, Washington; sister: Glenda Hensley of Ozark, Missouri; a very special aunt: Ruby Lemons of Mountain Grove; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
