Allen Lee Christensen

Allen Lee Christensen, son of the late Francis Walter and Bertha Alice (O’Clair) Christensen, was born December 28, 1941, in Royal, Iowa, and passed away December 6, 2023, at his home in Douglas County, Missouri. He was 81 years, 11 months, and 9 days of age.

Allen spent his early childhood in the Royal, Iowa, area before his family moved to Glenwood Springs, Colorado, where he graduated from high school in 1959. He earned a degree in business administration from the University of Denver. Allen was drafted into the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. He married Henrietta Newhouse-Christensen in December of 1963 and two children were born to this union. Allen later married Jean (Kelly) Watson-Christensen on August 13, 1993.

Allen was a partner in the Triple C Ranch for many years. He was a craftsman and enjoyed wood working, hunting, and loved spending time on his ranch. Allen loved the land so much and always loved exploring it, whether in Douglas County or in the western US.

Allen is survived by his wife, Jean Christensen, one daughter, Fonda Darter (Randy) of Slater, Iowa, one son, Grant Christensen (Devon) of Jefferson City, Missouri, two step-sons, Billy Watson of Norwood, Missouri, Mark Watson of Ava, Missouri, one brother, Gary Christensen (Janell) of Norwood, Missouri and one sister, Cindy Clark (Larry) of Republic, Missouri, several grandkids, nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends who will miss him greatly.

No services are planned. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
