Violet Nadine Barlett of Sanford, Virginia, formerly of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, went home to be with her Lord and Savior in the ever caring and loving presence of her son, James “Jim” Brown on June 3, 2011 at the Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, Virginia. She was 67 years of age.
Nadine was born on June 11, 1943 in Rockbridge, Missouri, to G.S. “Sheddie” and Lena Grace Williams. She graduated from the Gainesville High School in Gainesville, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her spouses: Larry Brown, Edwin Rader and Bob Barlett.
She is survived by two sons: Retired Chief Petty Officer, James Brown and his wife, Lisa, of Sanford, Virginia, and Stephen “Steve” Brown, of Sanford, Virginia, formerly of Mtn. Grove; two sisters: Georgia Hancock and her husband, Joe, of Papillion, Nebraska, and Pauline Fry and her husband, Bob, of Enterprise, Alabama; two brothers: Eli Williams and his wife, Jan, of Rogersville, Missouri and Harold Williams and his wife, Judy, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; six grandchildren: Josh Brown, Heather Clark, and her husband, Jacob, Stephen Brown, Murphy Brown, Crystal Brown, and Harley Brown; one great-grandchild: Samantha Clark; numerous nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; and all who dearly loved her.
