Olive E. Crain

Olive Elizabeth Crain, daughter of the late Albert and Rosa (Kelley) Craig, was born December 8, 1939, in Hartville, Missouri, and passed away May 28, 2020, at her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 80 years, 5 months, and 20 days of age.

Olive lived her entire life in Hartville and Mountain Grove. She graduated from Hartville High School with the class of 1958. Olive married Paul Ellis on April 23, 1966. She brought one son, Ellis Ray, into this union. One child, Greg, was born to this union. Paul passed away on November 21, 1982. She later married Eugene Crain on April 6, 1985. Eugene brought one son, James, and one daughter, Heather, into this union. One daughter, Edna, was born to this union.

Olive worked for Brown Shoe Company in Mountain Grove and Cabool, Missouri, for many years until the company closed. In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting clocks, working with genealogy, growing flowers, and spending time with her family and friends. She always loved attending church at Mountain Grove Full Gospel as long as her health permitted.

Besides her parents, Olive was preceded in death by one son, Ellis Ray Craig, two brothers, Owen and Odis Craig, and one sister, Avis Craig.

She is survived by her husband of their home, Eugene Crain, two sons, Greg Ellis (Danielle) of Lucedale, Mississippi, and James Smith of Estes Park, Colorado, two daughters, Heather Crain (Brian) of Republic, Missouri, and Edna Livingston (Chad) of Jefferson City, Missouri, one brother, Floyd Craig of Mountain Grove, Missouri, one sister, Dorothy Craig of Hartville, Missouri, eight grandchildren, Cameron, Gideon, Belinda, Greg Jr., Elizabeth, Brenna, Anna, and Mabel, three great-grandchildren, Paris, London, and Helena, and other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
